Commonly asked questions about Unum broker compensation

How can I complete contracting paperwork or request to be appointed with Unum?

If you have recently had a status change (name change, affiliation change, etc.) or are looking to do business with Unum for the first time, please visit the following link to electronically complete our contracting and appointment paperwork. How can I sign up for EFT or change my EFT Bank Account information?

Once logged in to your online account, select the “Compensation” tab followed by the option for eStatements. Click on the yellow “Help” button. Next to the question “How do I update my existing EFT account,” select the “click here” link.

When can I expect to receive commissions?

Commission payments are dependent upon receipt of premium from the group/policyholder. If you are registered for EFT, compensation will be disbursed on a bi-weekly basis while check payments are issued on a monthly basis, once you have accrued a minimum of $500. To view our current schedule, select the “Compensation” tab, followed by the link for “Statement Cycle Dates.”
